I följande exempel skapas en ny instans av en Form och anropar ShowDialog metoden för att visa formuläret som en dialogruta. Med den här egenskapen kan du ange formulärets startposition när det visas vid körning. Formulärets position kan anges manuellt genom att ange egenskapen Location eller använda standardplatsen som anges av Windows. Du kan också placera formuläret som ska visas i mitten av skärmen eller i mitten av dess överordnade formulär för formulär, till exempel MDI-underformulär (multiple-document interface).
