I följande exempel implementeras en enkel intervalltimer som utväxlar ett larm var femte sekund. När larmet inträffar MessageBox visas antalet gånger som larmet har startat och frågar användaren om timern ska fortsätta att köras.

Timern omfattas inte av skräpinsamling när värdet är true.

Start Att anropa metoden är samma som inställningen Enabled till true. På samma sätt är anrop av Stop metoden samma som inställningen Enabled till false.
