Opmerkingen
Standaard speelt de pieptoon met een frequentie van 800 hertz voor een duur van 200 milliseconden.
Beep verpakt een aanroep naar de functie Windows Beep. Of Beep een geluid produceert op versies van Windows voordat Windows 7 afhankelijk is van de aanwezigheid van een 8254 programmeerbare intervaltimerchip. Vanaf Windows 7 is dit afhankelijk van het standaardgeluidsapparaat.
