I had an Office 2016 LTSC active suite. I recently upgraded to Office 2024 LTSC and all components work OK. My account however, is still saying that Office 2016 is activated and the Excel software is saying it is unlicensed. All other office components work without that message, but my activated Office is still 2016. What do I need to do to resolve this issue.

A couple of points I would like to make. Although I believed I had Office LTSC 2024; which I just thought was a new name for the product, my software makes no mention of LTSC. It only shows 2024. What is the difference between 2024 LTSC and 2024? When I downloaded the software from the Microsoft site, I was under the impression I was upgrading from Office 2016 to Office 2024 and that my purchase of Office 2016 provided upgrades for the software that I own. I'm not sure where the LTSC comes into this, as to my knowledge; there was no 2016 LTSC when I originally got Office 2016. I simply want the upgraded version of Office 2024, not Office 2024 LTSC, if they are different products. I get then impression that you are saying I have purchased something more; however I did not. I simply downloaded the new version as I was told to do, when I contacted Microsoft. How can you assist me in this?

Yes, the account does still say 2016 is activated, for all the applications. So if that is the problem, how do I get the key for this upgrade. My understanding is that if I had a license for 2016, I could upgrade to 2024.. I attach the screen shot as requested.

Based on what we see now, your Office installation is still activated with an Office LTSC 2016 license, and you do not have an Office LTSC 2024 license assigned to your device or account.
Because of that:
This type of license does not upgrade automatically and is not included with an LTSC 2016 purchase. Microsoft does not provide LTSC 2024 keys directly to end users
You will need to contact the seller or provider from whom you originally purchased your Office LTSC license
Only they can provide or manage the activation key needed for Office 2024 LTSC.

To understand the issue more clearly, could you please send me a screenshot showing what the other Office LTSC 2024 apps (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) display under their Account page (File → Account)? Specifically, I’d like to see what each of them shows for Subscription/Product Information.
This will help confirm whether they are actually activated or if they are still using the old Office 2016 LTSC license in the background.
From what you've shared so far:
In short: Installing LTSC 2024 alone does not upgrade or replace your LTSC 2016 license. A new LTSC 2024 license key (MAK or KMS) is required. Without that key, Excel correctly reports the installation as Unlicensed.
Some Office apps may not show the warning immediately, but the activation status is the same for all the PC still only has an LTSC 2016 license.
