Patterns.Coerce Active Pattern (F#)

Recognizes expressions that represent coercions from one type to another.

( |Coerce|_| ) : (input:Expr) -> (Expr * Type) option

Parameters

• input
  Type: Expr

  The input expression to match against.

Return Value

The formal return type is (Expr * Type) option. The option type indicates whether the input results in a match. In a pattern matching expression, this pattern decomposes the input into the underlying expression and a Type object that represents the type to convert to.

Remarks

This function is named CoercePattern in the .NET Framework assembly. If you are accessing the member from a .NET Framework language other than F#, or through reflection, use this name.
