Registers a filter for the AddNewItem dialog.

Parameters

• pFilter
  Type: Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.Interop.IVsFilterAddProjectItemDlg

  [in] Pointer to an IVsFilterAddProjectItemDlg interface representing the filter to register.

• pdwFilterCookie
  Type: System.UInt32%

  [out] Pointer to an integer containing a VSCOOKIE uniquely identifying the filter just registered. Needed for the UnregisterAddNewItemDialogFilter method.

Return Value

Type: System.Int32
If the method succeeds, it returns S_OK. If it fails, it returns an error code.
