3.2.1 Connection

To connect to a server by using TCP or HTTP/HTTPS, the client MUST know the IP address and port number of the server. The default HTTP port number is 80, and the default HTTPS port number is 443. However, the server MAY<395> be configured to listen on other port numbers.
