Retourneert een waarde die aangeeft of dit exemplaar gelijk is aan een opgegeven object.

Object

Een object dat moet worden vergeleken met dit exemplaar, of null.

Retouren

true als obj dit een opsommingswaarde is van hetzelfde type en met dezelfde onderliggende waarde als dit exemplaar, falseanders.

In het volgende voorbeeld worden twee opsommingstypen gedefinieerd, SledDog en WorkDog. De SledDog opsomming heeft twee leden SledDog.AlaskanMalamute en SledDog.Malamute, die dezelfde onderliggende waarde hebben. De aanroep van de Equals methode geeft aan dat deze waarden gelijk zijn omdat de onderliggende waarden hetzelfde zijn. De SledDog.Malamute en WorkDog.Newfoundland leden hebben dezelfde onderliggende waarde, hoewel ze verschillende opsommingstypen vertegenwoordigen. Een aanroep naar de Equals methode geeft aan dat deze waarden niet gelijk zijn.
