In het volgende codevoorbeeld ziet u hoe de Source eigenschap wordt gebruikt. In dit voorbeeld gebruikt een switch instructie consoleinvoer om te zoeken naar vermeldingen in het gebeurtenislogboek voor de opgegeven EntryType. Als er een overeenkomst wordt gevonden, wordt de Source eigenschapsgegevens weergegeven in de console.

Opmerkingen

De gebeurtenisbron geeft aan wat de gebeurtenis heeft geregistreerd. Dit is vaak de naam van de toepassing of de naam van een subonderdeel van de toepassing als de toepassing groot is. Toepassingen en services schrijven meestal naar (en zijn daarom bronnen voor) het toepassingslogboek of een aangepast logboek. Apparaatstuurprogramma's schrijven meestal naar het systeemlogboek.
