ProvideObjectAttribute.Register Method

Provides registration information about a VSPackage when called by an external registration tool such as regpkg.exe. For more information, see How to: Register Managed VSPackages.

Parameters

context
Type: Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.RegistrationAttribute.RegistrationContext

A registration context provided by an external registration tool. The context can be used to create registry keys, log registration activity, and obtain information about the component being registered.

Remarks

VSPackages implementing the ProvideObjectAttribute class do not need to call the Register method. Register is called by the registration tools.
