Transports available for inter-site data transfer

Lists the replication transports that this server can use for replication.

  • IP : The IP transport is the default replication transport for intrasite and intersite replication.

  • SMTP : The Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) transport uses e-mail messages to transfer replication data. This transport requires additional configuration in your network properties, and it has significant limitations.

This server is a preferred bridgehead server for the following transports

Contains the transports that you have added to designate this server as a preferred bridgehead server. By adding a transport to the list, you designate the server as a preferred bridgehead server for replication that uses that transport. By removing a transport, you return the server to non–bridgehead–server status.
