Human Interface Device (HID) Profile Registry Settings (Compact 2013)

You can configure the Human Interface Device (HID) profile by using the registry entries, located in the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Device\hid\< Device Address**>**.

auth	REG_DWORD	Optional. Whether the connection is authenticated. 0 = Disables authentication. 1 = Enables authentication. Caution: Disabling authentication is a potential security risk.	1
encryption	REG_DWORD	Optional. Whether the connection is encrypted. 0 = Disables encryption. 1 = Enables encryption. Caution: Disabling encryption is a potential security risk.	1
active	REG_DWORD	Whether the HID is currently active and can accept incoming HID connection requests. 0 = HID is not active. 1 = HID is active.	1
