Retrieves the format type.

Syntax

const GUID* FormatType( ) const;

Parameters

None.

Return Value

Returns a pointer to the format type.

Remarks

The format GUID describes the content of the variable-length format block. Examples of format types are FORMAT_VideoInfo and FORMAT_WaveFormatEx.
