Create quizzes in Teach

Completed

Teach generates quizzes in Microsoft Forms with options that align with instructional goals. Practice mode can support formative checks and mastery through repeated attempts.

To generate a quiz for your learners:

  1. Provide essential details: Select the subject area, grade level, and the language content should be generated in.

  2. Describe the quiz: Specify the topic, focus areas, and objectives that demonstrate mastery. The educator can even specify the number of points per question or no points for the quiz in the description.

  3. Attach content like lesson plans, unit plans, syllabus, national or state curriculum materials from cloud files or a computer to add context.

  4. Select standards:

    • Choose the national or state standard set.
    • Select the grade, subject, and strand.
    • Add one or more standards.
  5. Select options before generation: Number of questions, duration (no time limit or up to 180 minutes), and practice mode when repeated attempts support learning goals.

Review and edit:

  • Adjust directions, questions, and answers.

  • Set the number of points learners can earn for each question. From no points, 5 points, or whatever fits within the educator's instructional needs. The default is points per question that equal 100 points total.

  • If applicable, turn on math formatting.

  • Mark questions as required when appropriate.

Note

Practice mode gives learners the option to reveal answers and retry questions to build mastery.

Tip

Use math formatting for equation-based questions to improve readability.
