Opening and reading PDF files in Microsoft Edge on Windows 11

For the past couple weeks co-workers and I have not been able to save PDF documents that are opened in Edge.
When we click the 'Save as' dialogue, nothing happens. It doesn't even try to load anything. Many of us have disabled Edge's new Adobe PDF handling that's full of the unwelcome inappropriate advertisements, but that didn't change anything.
The only work around we have is using a third party program, or clicking the Print dialogue and then Saving as PDF or Printing to PDF.
Is this going to be fixed or do you think this will be yet another issue that gets ignored by Microsoft for a decade?
Opening and reading PDF files in Microsoft Edge on Windows 11
Hi Scallywag,
I understand how disruptive this can be, especially if saving PDF files from Edge is part of your regular workflow and the issue is affecting multiple people.
I tested this in a Windows 11 test environment with Microsoft Edge, and the Save as option for PDF files opened in Edge worked as expected. Since you mentioned that your co-workers are seeing the same behavior, could you please confirm the following?
While my initial response may not fully resolve the issue, I truly appreciate your cooperation as we work together toward identifying the most effective solution. Thank you so much for your understanding.
