I am using Office 2021 on Win11 and all of a sudden one gmail account cannot be accessed via Outlook!

I have tried using 2 step veification and app password but still won't access.

I have done a system clean and restarted PC but still can't get it to work!

    Hello

Many users seem to have this issue recently. Microsoft is still investigating this issue. The current workaround is published here: https://support.microsoft.com/office/users-get-errors-0x800ccc0e-0x800ccc0f-synchronizing-gmail-and-yahoo-accounts-in-classic-outlook-e5a7b684-7c5c-4848-ab2d-d48291451f67

Follow these steps focusing on the one failing Gmail account, since others still work:

    1. Verify IMAP is enabled for that Gmail account
      • Sign in to the problematic Gmail account in a browser.
      • Select the gear icon > Settings.
      • Go to Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
      • Under IMAP access, make sure Enable IMAP is selected.
      • Select Save Changes.
    2. Confirm correct server settings in Outlook 2021 Edit or recreate the account in Outlook using these settings for the failing Gmail account:
      • Incoming mail (IMAP) server: imap.gmail.com
        • Requires SSL: Yes
        • Port: 993
      • Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: smtp.gmail.com
        • Requires SSL: Yes
        • Requires TLS: Yes (if available)
        • Requires Authentication: Yes
        • Port for SSL: 465, or Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587
      • Username: full Gmail address of the failing account
      • Password: the app password generated for that specific Gmail account (not the normal Gmail password).
    3. Recreate the profile entry for just that Gmail account
      • In Outlook, remove only the problematic Gmail account from the profile.
      • Add it back using the IMAP settings above and the app password for that account.
    4. If using a security key for 2‑step verification
      • When adding the Gmail account in Outlook, avoid using a security key method; choose another 2‑step verification method (for example, app password or code) as Outlook can show a “This browser does not support security keys” error.

If the other Gmail account works, use its configuration as a template and ensure the failing account has IMAP enabled and its own correct app password and IMAP/SMTP settings.
