I have a retired MTA: Database Fundamentals (98-364) from 2022 that is not appearing on my transcript, though I can see my newer Power BI certification.

MTA certifications, including MTA: Database Fundamentals (98-364), were retired in June 2022. Existing MTA certifications remain on the certification transcript and are still printable, but they move to the Certification History (or Historical Certifications) section of the transcript two years after retirement.

If the MTA certification is not visible where expected, use these steps:

    1. Check the correct transcript location
      • Go to the Certification Dashboard (from there, use View Transcript).
      • Look for the MTA certification under Certification History / Historical Certifications, not only under Active.
    2. Verify via Microsoft Learn profile
      • Go to the Learn profile and select Transcript in the left column to review all certifications and exams.
      • Also check Credentials → Certifications to see if the MTA appears there.
    3. If the certification still does not appear
      • Open a ticket with Microsoft Credentials Support so they can investigate and correct the transcript: use the support flow described at Certification support or the dedicated credentials support entry points shown in the Q&A references (for example, https://aka.ms/credentialssupport).
      • Provide exam details (exam 98-364, date passed, testing provider, and the Microsoft account used) so support can locate and link the record.

The MTA retirement does not remove earned certifications; they should remain visible on the transcript (in the history section) and be downloadable as certificates from the Certification Dashboard once correctly associated with the account.
