Hi,

I work as a software development manager with data analysis. My PL-300 is important to me due to my work.

But last year was a changing year for me, I moved from Peru to US with my family, was promoted with a lot of new responsibilities at work, and I helped my family to adapt to their new country and living style.

I received the notifications in an old email account I almost never use.

Could you please give me a chance to renew my certification again without taking the exam?

Please also help me giving me the procedure to add my new email account to the notifications list regarding my certification.

Best regards,

The renewal period is open for 180 days before your expiry date. The renewal window cannot be extended or reopened. There are no exceptions.

My certification expired. What happens now? If your certification expires, you must earn the certification again by passing the required exam(s).

PL-300, like other Microsoft role-based certifications, can only be renewed by passing the free online renewal assessment on Microsoft Learn before the certification expires. Once a certification has expired, it cannot be renewed; it must be earned again by passing the required exam(s). There are no exceptions or alternate renewal paths.

To keep certifications active in the future:

    1. Renewal is available starting six months before the expiration date.
    2. The only valid method is the online renewal assessment on Microsoft Learn.
    3. If the certification expires, it is necessary to retake and pass the PL-300 exam to regain the certification.

To manage notifications and email addresses for certification communications:

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft Learn profile that holds the certification.
    2. Open the profile menu (avatar) and go to Profile → Certifications to see certifications and renewal options.
    3. Ensure the preferred contact email is correctly set in the Learn profile so renewal notifications are sent to the active address.

If there are issues with accounts, missing certifications, or email changes that do not reflect correctly, contact Microsoft Credentials Support using the guidance in the referenced documentation.
