Receiving emails with attachments

I am waiting for an email with an attachment. The sender said it has been sent but I am not seeing any emails from him. I had him send to my personal Gmail account and the email with attachments came through. So, I forwarded the email to my outlook account from my Gmail and still have not received.

    Hello,

If you go to your account https://account.live.com > Microsoft storage, is your storage ok? Not full?

If you go to www.outlook.com, did you check junk mail folder? Is it there?

In addition, can you go to Settings and review these items - are they set as that in my screenshot?

Try the following checks in Outlook.com to locate or allow the missing message with attachment:

    1. Check focused/other inbox and filters
    • In Outlook.com, check both Focused and Other tabs.
    • Select Filter and make sure it is set to show All and that sorting is by Date (Filter > Sort > Date) so recent messages are visible.
    1. Check Junk Email
    • Open the Junk Email folder.
    • If the forwarded message is there, right-click it and choose Mark as not junk to move it back to Inbox and prevent future messages from that sender going to junk.
    • Also review Junk Email settings to ensure nothing is blocking these messages.
    1. Check blocked senders
    • Sign in to Outlook.com.
    • Go to Settings > Mail/Options.
    • Open Blocked senders or Block and allow.
    • If the original sender’s address or domain (for example, @gmail.com) is listed, remove it so messages are not blocked.
    1. Check rules and forwarding
    • In Outlook.com settings, review Rules and make sure there is no rule moving all new mail to another folder (for example, RSS or a custom folder) or deleting it.
    • Check if email forwarding is enabled and, if so, confirm whether “keep a copy of forwarded emails” is turned on so messages still appear in Outlook.com.
    1. Check connected accounts / third‑party apps
    • If Outlook.com is being accessed via a mail app (mobile or desktop) using POP/IMAP, temporarily sign in directly at Outlook.com in a browser to confirm whether the message appears there.
    • If using a third‑party mail app with Outlook.com, ensure it supports modern authentication and IMAP as required.
    1. Ask the sender to check delivery to Outlook.com
    • Since delivery to Gmail works, ask the sender to review any non‑delivery reports when sending directly to the Outlook.com address and, if needed, use the guidance in Sender Support in Outlook.com.

If, after these checks, messages from that sender still do not arrive in Outlook.com but do arrive in Gmail, keep using Gmail for those communications and contact Outlook.com support from the Help menu for account‑specific investigation.
