The MAK key owner or which email address it is registered to cannot be seen from the Windows activation dialog or from the MAK itself. That information is only available in the organization’s Volume Licensing records.

To identify the account that owns the Windows Server 2022 Standard MAK shown in the screenshot, the required steps are:

1. Contact the organization’s Volume Licensing Administrator or licensing reseller and provide them with:
   • Agreement/Enrollment Number or License ID and Authorization number (from the purchase documents), and
   • The last five characters of the MAK (shown as the Partial Product Key in the dialog: RIVHJ).
2. The Volume Licensing Administrator can then:
   • Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center and go to Billing → Your products → Volume licensing → View downloads and keys to see which agreements and keys are assigned, or
   • Open a support request with Microsoft Licensing using the official web form for MAK/KMS issues, providing the Agreement/Enrollment details and the last five characters of the key so Microsoft can confirm ownership and the associated account.

If the MAK was purchased through a third party and not through the organization’s own Volume Licensing agreement, the reseller must provide the licensing documentation and, if necessary, work with Microsoft Licensing Support to trace the registered customer.

The key itself cannot be used to directly discover the email address; only licensing records and support can map the key to the correct account.
