If your certification's expiry date was March 11th, it will have expired at midnight UTC on March 10th i.e., you needed to have renewed before March 10th and it was not possible to renew from March 11th onwards. Note: There is no benefit in waiting until the final days to renewal as the 12 months is added to the expiry date not the date you passed the renewal assessment.

The renewal period is open for 180 days before your expiry date. The renewal window cannot be extended or reopened.

My certification expired. What happens now? If your certification expires, you must earn the certification again by passing the required exam(s).

    Hello Microsoft Certification Support Team,

I cleared the PL-300 certification on 10 March 2025 and my certificate expired on 11 March 2026.

I wanted to renew my certification before the expiry date, but the renewal option on Microsoft Learn was disabled about 2 days before the expiry. Because of this issue, I was unable to complete the renewal assessment.

I kindly request you to please check this issue and re-enable the renewal option for my certification so that I can complete the renewal proce

The renewal option disappears once a certification has expired. Renewal is only possible in the six‑month window before the expiration date and must be completed no later than the expiration date itself. After the certification expires, it cannot be renewed and must be re‑earned by passing the required exam(s).

For PL‑300, since the certification expired on 11 March 2026 and the renewal option is no longer visible, the only available path is to take and pass the current required exam again.

If there are any issues with what appears in the Certifications tab (for example, if the dates look incorrect), use the official Credentials Support channel to open a support request.
