To move Office 2007 to a new laptop without using the original discs, these are the supported options from the provided information:

    1. Uninstall from the old computer.
    2. Install on the new computer using the same product key.

The documentation specifies that to transfer Office from an old computer to a new one, Office must be uninstalled from the old computer first, then installed on the new one, and activated with the same product key.

However, Office 2007 is not compatible with Windows 10 according to the context, and the guidance provided is to use a more current Office version (for example via a Microsoft 365 subscription) on modern Windows versions.

If the new laptop is running Windows 10 or Windows 11, Office 2007 is not supported there, so the recommended path is:

    1. Do not attempt to move Office 2007 to the new laptop.
    2. Instead, install a supported Office version (for example, via a Microsoft 365 subscription) on the new device.

Files and documents can be moved separately using OneDrive or an external drive; this does not move the Office 2007 program itself, only the data.
