Outlook 365 recently started giving me "Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for ******@gmail.com.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed ...." errors

This started recently... All settings seemed good - nothing I know of had changed, I've tried removing and re-adding the Gmail account. I had two Gmail accounts working fine in Outlook 365 until they weren't.

The Gmail accounts seem to add ok - they show "successful completion". And tell me I need to restart Outlook. I close & restart... then I get "The name cannot be matched to the name in the address list" error.

And no new Gmail account listed ...

I have tried removing the OST files - just in case they'd been corrupted...

I looked for updates - none found.

Turned off VPN...

What else can I try? Using a browser to access Gmail works fine. Outlook on my iPhone accesses Gmail just fine...

    Hello

Many users seem to have this issue recently. Microsoft is still investigating this issue. The current workaround is published here: https://support.microsoft.com/office/users-get-errors-0x800ccc0e-0x800ccc0f-synchronizing-gmail-and-yahoo-accounts-in-classic-outlook-e5a7b684-7c5c-4848-ab2d-d48291451f67
