Additional settings-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Hi @Noah Harrell,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing the issue your user is experiencing. I truly appreciate the time you took to review the issue and perform initial troubleshooting steps. As the next step, could you please do two actions again to ensure we fully refresh the New Teams app data.
- Clear Teams cache
- Close Teams completely, then delete all files of: %userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams
- After that, reopen Teams and test spell check.
- Reset Microsoft Teams
- Go to device settings, select Apps > Installed apps, and then type Microsoft Teams in the search box.
- Locate the New Microsoft Teams app from the results, select the More options button (...) on the right, and then select Advanced options.
- In the Reset section, select Reset.
- Try Teams on the web
Please sign in to https://teams.microsoft.com/ and test spell check in a chat compose box. Let me know whether spell check works there.
- Contact Microsoft Support
As you have already completed the basic troubleshooting steps and the issue still persists, it appears to require a deeper investigation at the backend level. While I would love to resolve this directly, my current scope and resource limitations do not allow access to the internal systems needed for this type of troubleshooting. The best next step is to have your IT administrator submit a support ticket through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
Once the ticket is created, a technical support engineer will be able to initiate a secure remote session, review backend configurations, run diagnostics, and escalate the case to specialized engineering teams if necessary. These teams are equipped to perform advanced troubleshooting and provide targeted solutions.
As moderators, our role is to offer guidance and general troubleshooting steps. Although we do not have access to administrative tools required for backend fixes, we truly appreciate your understanding of these limitations. We hope the information provided helps point you in the right direction, and we are always here to assist as much as possible within our scope.
For instructions on submitting a support request, please refer to: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn.
I hope this information is helpful. Please follow the steps above and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can continue working together to resolve the issue.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions or need additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out so I can continue to support you. If you found the response useful, please consider marking it as accepted, as this may help other community members who are looking for similar guidance.
I look forward to continuing the conversation.
