    Hello Maju,

Thank you for posting question on Microsoft Windows Forum!

Based on the issue description. Well! If your Microsoft account shows “no key available,” it might indicate that the key was never backed up there. The recovery key may instead be saved locally, printed, or tied to your organization’s IT system.

The following are some suggestions in an attempt to find BitLocker recovery key.

    • Go to account.microsoft.com → Devices → select your PC → BitLocker recovery keys. Signing into Microsoft using the exact Microsoft account you used to set up the PC. Please consult this article https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/find-your-bitlocker-recovery-key-6b71ad27-0b89-ea08-f143-056f5ab347d6 for concrete instructed steps.
    • During setup, Windows may have prompted you to save the key to a USB stick or text file. Searching connected drives for files named “BitLocker Recovery Key” or similar.
    • Verifying local backup. If you manually saved the key, it could be in your documents folder or cloud storage (OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.).
    • Did you use a different Microsoft account when you set up Windows? Check any other personal or work/school Microsoft accounts (sometimes people use a work email or a different personal email and forget).
    • If this PC was set up by your workplace/school (or you used a work email to join Windows). The key may be stored in Azure AD. If so. You might need to contact your IT department.

Hope the above information is helpful! If it is. It is appreciated to hit "Accept Answer".
