Hi Toni Rivera,
In Outlook on the web (Outlook.com / Microsoft 365), pinned emails don’t have a separate “highlight” color. Pinning is mainly intended to keep important messages easy to locate rather than visually styled.
Important note: Pinned messages stay at the top of the Inbox only when the folder is sorted by Date. If you sort by From, Size, or other fields, the messages remain pinned, but they won’t float to the top of the list.
Tip to pin messages more quickly: You can add Pin to your Quick Actions for one‑click access:
- Settings (gear) > Mail > Customize actions > under Quick actions, enable Pin
After that, you can pin or unpin messages simply by hovering over them.
If you’d like pinned emails to stand out visually, you can also consider:
- Categories: Right‑click the message > Categorize > choose a color
- Flags: Useful if you want to mark the message as needing follow‑up
Please let me know if this proves useful to you, or if you would like further assistance.
I'm looking forward to your reply.
