    Hi Toni Rivera,

In Outlook on the web (Outlook.com / Microsoft 365), pinned emails don’t have a separate “highlight” color. Pinning is mainly intended to keep important messages easy to locate rather than visually styled.

Important note: Pinned messages stay at the top of the Inbox only when the folder is sorted by Date. If you sort by From, Size, or other fields, the messages remain pinned, but they won’t float to the top of the list.

Tip to pin messages more quickly: You can add Pin to your Quick Actions for one‑click access:

    • Settings (gear) > Mail > Customize actions > under Quick actions, enable Pin

After that, you can pin or unpin messages simply by hovering over them.

If you’d like pinned emails to stand out visually, you can also consider:

    • Categories: Right‑click the message > Categorize > choose a color
    • Flags: Useful if you want to mark the message as needing follow‑up

Please let me know if this proves useful to you, or if you would like further assistance.

I'm looking forward to your reply.

Pinned emails in the new Outlook experience are already visually highlighted by being “stuck” at the top of the inbox; there is no separate feature to additionally color‑highlight or otherwise style pinned messages beyond this built‑in behavior.

To pin or unpin emails in new Outlook:

    1. Select an email in the message list.
    2. Click the Pin icon on the message to move it to the top of the inbox and keep it there until it is unpinned.
    3. Click the Pin icon again to unpin it and return it to normal sorting.

Pinned messages stay at the top so they “never fall through the cracks,” but the product does not provide an extra highlight (such as background color) specifically for pinned items.
