Hi, I received a meeting invite by email, but it seems outlook does not recognize it as an invite, it does not give me the option to accept, decline, propose new time, and I dont see it on my calendar either.

    Dear @Filipe Lyrio,

Good day! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

Based on your description, I understand that you're receiving a meeting invitation by email, but Outlook isn’t recognizing it as a calendar invite; therefore, you're not seeing options to accept, decline, or propose a new time, and it also isn’t appearing on your calendar.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this issue.

To understand the situation better and provide you with the most suitable support, could you confirm the following information:

    • How did the meeting invite arrive? Was it sent directly to your inbox, forwarded by someone, or sent from a shared mailbox or distribution list?
    • Are other invites working normally? Or is this issue happening with multiple meeting invitations?
    • Do you access your email on other devices as well (mobile, web, etc.)? If so, does the invite appear correctly there?

Your confirmation would be very helpful in ensuring you receive the most suitable support!

In the meantime, kindly try the following suggestions to check what might have caused the issue:

    • Try opening Outlook on another platform: This helps confirm whether the issue is specific to New Outlook
      • Outlook on the web (https://outlook.office.com)
      • Mobile Outlook app
      • If the invite is recognized there, then the issue is local to the New Outlook app
    • Ask the organizer to resend the meeting: Sometimes the formatting becomes corrupted in transit. You can gently let the organizer know you received the email, but Outlook didn’t detect it as an invite and ask them to send it again to check if the issue persists
    • Repair Office (Windows): If the problem happens consistently with multiple invites, your Outlook installation may need repair:
      • Open Settings > Go to Apps > Installed apps
      • Find Microsoft 365 Apps/Office
      • Select Modify > Quick Repair

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Any updates you’re able to share would be really helpful. I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing how things are going!

Thank you for your time and patience.
