Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
To reach a real person for a Microsoft 365/Office home subscription, use the official support channels below and follow the sequence carefully so the flow ends with “Contact support” instead of looping through help articles.
- Go to the Microsoft 365/Office support entry point for home users and start in online help.
- When prompted with self-help articles, scroll past or skip them until a Contact support or Get Help option appears.
- Choose Get Help (this may open the Get Help app or a browser-based assistant).
- In the Get Help experience, type a short description like
billing issueorsubscription charge. - When suggested articles appear, scroll to the bottom and select Contact support (or similar wording) instead of opening more articles.
- On the Products & Services step, select Microsoft 365 & Office.
- For Category, choose the option closest to the problem (for example, Manage my subscription or Billing).
- Confirm the selection to proceed.
- On the contact options page, choose one of:
- Chat with a support agent in your web browser – opens a live chat with a person.
- Provide your phone number and a support agent will call you – enter a phone number and wait for a callback.
If the Get Help app is available on Windows:
- Open Get Help from the Start menu (search for “Get Help”).
- Type a brief description such as
billing issueand press Enter. - When the app offers Contact support, select it.
- Select Microsoft 365 & Office as the product, then the appropriate category.
- Choose Chat with a support agent or Call me back and complete the contact details.
If contact options do not appear, it may be outside support hours; try again during local business hours.
