Choose the " Restore option, and the Work account should be restored in the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Use the account that the Office product key was originally linked to; the key itself is only used once to associate Office with a Microsoft account.

Follow these steps on the laptop:

1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used when Office was first activated (this may be a personal account, not the work iPad itself).
2. Under Services & subscriptions, look for the Office product (for example, Office 2019, Office 2021, or Microsoft 365).
3. When found, select Install (or Install on this device) next to that product. This downloads the correct Office installer.
4. Run the downloaded setup file and complete the installation.
5. Open Word or another Office app and, if prompted, sign in with the same Microsoft account to activate.

If Office originally came pre-installed on the laptop, the same Microsoft account that was used to activate it the first time must be used again to reinstall. If the Office license or Microsoft 365 subscription is managed by an organization and there is no install button after signing in, contact the organization’s Microsoft 365 administrator or IT staff to assign or confirm the license.

If the product was obtained through a volume license or Workplace Discount Program, installation steps may differ and may require help from the organization or IT department.
