Hello, I’m trying to join the M365 Developer Program, but I can’t get through the registration stage - I’ve tried several times to sign up using different phone numbers, and I keep getting the same error every time: “We can't continue with the signup process right now due to an internal server error. Please try again later. Code: 50001.”
I’ve tried registering from different browsers, using incognito mode, and even asked a colleague from another country to check if he can go through the registration - nothing helps, me and him still can’t register.
Please help.

    Hi @Alan Ibragimov

Based on the information you shared, I understand that you and your colleague are encountering an "internal server error... Code: 50001" during the registration stage of the Microsoft 365 Developer Program. You have already proactively tested this across different browsers, in incognito mode, and by using various phone numbers and regional locations.

After researching this behavior, I have seen similar reports from other users in comparable environments encountering the exact same 50001 error code recently. Usually, this specific error code relates to phone number validation or security verification conditions. However, because multiple users are experiencing this simultaneously, this behavior may appear depending on how the registration service is currently interacting with the client. It seems the automated system may require a little bit of time to process these requests. Because this behavior is currently being observed across multiple user environments, the most effective step right now is to allow the system some time to process the requests.

Please note that as a moderator, my primary role is to provide structured troubleshooting and guide you toward official Microsoft documentation and guidelines. I do not have the permissions or resources to directly access or modify the backend systems, as the Developer Program registration is a fully automated system.

I hope this information helps for now.
