Microsoft Office 2024 Excel freezes at launch

Hi All

Appologise if i post this in the wrong place

I just installed Office 2024 and for some reason Excel will freeze/hang/go not responding as soon as it's launched, all other programs still work as normal

tried launching excel in safe mode - it still freezes

have repaired office installation - no change

have updated office through Word - no change

Rebooted - no change

completely uninstalled and reinstalled from a fresh download - no change

just wondering if anyone has a solution or knows something different i can try cause i'm kinda tearing my hair out ATM

To help narrow down the issue:

Could you provide me with a screenshot of your current Windows OS Build? To do this, press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog, type winver and press Enter.

Are you able to see your Microsoft Office 2024 under the Services & subscriptions page here: https://account.microsoft.com/services (make sure you’re signed in with the same Microsoft account you used to activate Office)?

Does Excel freeze even when you just open the app with no file, or only when opening a specific Excel file?

If it happens with a file, does it freeze with every file or just one specific file?
