How to migrate data from Windows 7 Home running on HP Pavilion PC p6267c (which is rapidly failing) to Windows 11 running on HP OmniDesk Desktop PC M02-0127c?

Old machine has start-up issues and frequently crashes. Windows 7 offers "Windows Easy Transfer."

New machine won't send code info to phone (I give it the correct phone number but no code is received). Windows 11 offers a file migration protocol named differently from the old Windows 7 migration tool (I found the name once but can't find it again...).

Both machines are up on same net but can't find each other...

Hi, To copy files from Windows 7 to an external hard drive, plug in the drive, open Computer via the Start menu, and locate your files. Select the desired files/folders, right-click and choose Copy, then open the external drive in a new window, right-click in the empty space, and select Paste. See links to videos on the Internet

Also, the Windows 7 Backup and restore is still on Windows 10 (not sure about Window 11) Control Panel>Small Icons.

I would copy the files rather than moving them save mistakes.
