Struggling with Account Recovery; Need Customer Support

Back in 2022 I had to migrate my Mojang/Minecraft account over to Microsoft. Initially it messed up and long story short, I ended up making two accounts. One of those accounts I haven't used at all, and one of them I did - it has all of my Minecraft info on it including the Realm I created and pay for monthly. Once I got the accounts sorted years ago, I just kept myself signed into the correct account so I didn't have to deal with the mistake account.

My computer has been having some issues lately so I did a system restore over the weekend. I'm trying to get things set back up again and now I can't gain access to the correct Microsoft account. I've looked through my primary email, tried to access my account via Minecraft and Mojang, and I can't access it.
I typed my primary email address, which is also the secondary recovery email address for the Microsoft/Hotmail account and Microsoft shows the two accounts associated with that email address, but the one I need is partially hidden. I need help regaining access to that account but the support website just leads me in circles. Is there an email address I can use to contact Microsoft and show them which account I need help with?

    Hi 3lphie,

Let me walk you through the options available to recover your account.

First, since you mentioned that two accounts were created during the Mojang-to-Microsoft migration, the system restore may have signed you into the wrong one. I recommend starting by going to https://account.live.com and using the “Forgot password” or “Can’t access your account” options. Enter the email address associated with your Minecraft Realm, and follow the recovery prompts. If the account is partially hidden, you can request a verification code to be sent to the recovery email or phone number you previously set up.

If you are unable to receive codes on your current device, you can submit an Account Recovery Form through the Microsoft support site. This form allows you to provide details such as past passwords, billing information, or Xbox/Minecraft purchase history to prove ownership. Once verified, Microsoft can reset your security info and restore access.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct support email address for account recovery, but the Account Recovery Form is the official channel. If you are still stuck, you can also reach out through the Xbox Support page or Minecraft Help Center, both of which will redirect you to the same recovery process but with additional guidance.

You can try the above steps and let me know the outcome. If this answer helps clarify the situation, I’d appreciate it if you could click “Accept Answer” so others with the same issue can find the solution.

    Jason.
