Dear Microsoft Certification Support,
I am writing regarding an issue that occurred with my Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) exam scheduled on March 10, 2026 at 12:15 PM in Brussels.
Several years ago, when I created my Microsoft account, I accidentally reversed my first name and last name. My Microsoft profile therefore showed "Alexandre" as my last name and "Fourmestraux" as my first name.
When I arrived at the test center (Business Training, 58 Rue de la Régence, 1000 Brussels), the test center coordinator informed me that the name on my Microsoft account must exactly match the name on my ID. Following instructions given to him during a phone call (possibly with Microsoft or Pearson VUE support), I updated my name on my Microsoft account immediately.
Unfortunately, the update did not synchronize instantly between Microsoft and Pearson VUE. I therefore had to wait several hours at the test center while the update was being processed. After waiting for a long time, the coordinator eventually informed me that it was no longer possible for me to take the exam that day because too much time had passed.
Later, I received an email from Pearson VUE referencing case ID 36240787 confirming that the test center was unable to deliver the exam and advising me to contact customer service to reschedule.
Since the issue was caused by the name mismatch and the delay in synchronizing the update between systems, I kindly request the possibility to reschedule my AZ-900 exam on another date without having to pay the exam fee again (76€).
Thank you for your assistance and understanding. Please let me know if you need any additional information from my side.
Kind regards,
Alexandre Fourmestraux

Subject: Request to Reschedule AZ-900 Exam Without Additional Fee (Name Mismatch / Case 36240787)
Dear Microsoft Certification Support,
This is a request to reschedule a Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) exam without additional payment due to a name mismatch between the Microsoft account and the ID, and the resulting synchronization delay between systems.
Exam details:
When the Microsoft account was originally created, the first name and last name were accidentally reversed, so the profile showed:
At the test center, the coordinator informed that the name on the Microsoft account must exactly match the name on the ID. Following instructions given during a phone call with support, the name on the Microsoft account was corrected immediately to match the ID.
However, the update did not synchronize instantly between Microsoft and Pearson VUE. As a result, it was necessary to wait several hours at the test center while the update was processed. Eventually, the coordinator informed that it was no longer possible to take the exam that day because too much time had passed.
Later, Pearson VUE sent an email (case ID 36240787) confirming that the test center was unable to deliver the exam and advising to contact customer service to reschedule.
Because the issue was caused by the name mismatch and the delay in synchronization between systems, this is a request to:
All test-center rules were followed, and the name was corrected as instructed. The exam could not be delivered solely due to the technical delay in updating and synchronizing the profile information.
If any further information or documentation is required (ID copy, appointment confirmation, Pearson VUE email, or screenshots of the Microsoft Learn profile), it can be provided promptly.
Thank you for your assistance.
Kind regards,
Alexandre Fourmestraux
