my teams application is not working properly, I have to do a work around to open teams. Plus it is not loading into my outlook calendar, so I can't set meetings. Now, my gmail account won't sync with outlook. I have been "chatting" with someone for several days, who has not resolved the issue.

    Hi @Joshua Skule,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I would like to provide you with the following information:

    1/ Microsoft Teams

Please try the steps below and check whether the issue is resolved.

Method 1: Clear the Teams cache

Step 1: Completely exit Microsoft Teams.

Step 2: Press Windows + R, then enter the following path:

    %userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams

Step 3: Delete all files and folders inside this directory.

    Step 4: Reopen Microsoft Teams.

Method 2: Run Teams as Administrator

You mentioned that you have to use a workaround in order to open Teams. Could you please describe that workaround in more detail so I can further investigate?

In addition, since Teams is unable to open Teams Meetings, you should also check whether the Teams Meeting Add-in is enabled in Outlook (classic).

Please follow this path: File > Options > Add-ins

Step 2: Select Mail (Microsoft Outlook).

    Step 3: Select Show Profiles.

Step 4: Click Add to create a new profile.

Step 5: Return to Show Profiles, select the newly created profile, and choose Always use this profile.

For Outlook (new), please try clearing the cache as follows:

    Step 1: Completely close Outlook.

Step 2: Press Windows + R and enter the following command:

    olk.exe --devtools

    Step 3: Select Application.

Step 4: Select Local Storage and Cookies.

    Step 5: Right-click outlook.office.com > select Clear.

If the steps above do not resolve the issue, you can try performing an Online Repair for Office:

    Step 1: Press Windows + I.

Step 2: Select Apps > Installed apps.

Step 3: Find Microsoft Office or Outlook > click the … icon > select Modify > Online Repair.

Additionally, you mentioned that you have contacted someone else to help resolve this issue. May I ask whether you requested support through a support ticket or via a forum post?

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to continuing the conversation.
