Problem with Training Assignments, Training doesn't start

We launched a training campaign via the Attack Simulation Training in Defender and assigned the following trainings:

  • Generative AI
  • What is multi-factor authentication
  • Risky USB

At our location in Denmark, users cannot start the ‘Generative AI’ training. They only see a grey screen. The other trainings work without any issues.

What could be the reason for this, since the other trainings run without any problems?

The most likely cause is that the specific “Generative AI” training module is not available or not fully supported in the region where the users are located (Denmark/EUR), even though other modules in the same campaign work.

Attack simulation training content (including Training modules) is region-bound and only available in specific regions (APC, EUR, NAM) and in specific countries within those regions. Denmark is not listed among the explicitly supported countries for Attack simulation training data and features, which can result in some modules not loading correctly (for example, a grey screen) while others still work if they are hosted or licensed differently.

Because the other modules in the same campaign run without issues, the problem is specific to that one module’s availability or delivery in the tenant’s data region, not to the campaign configuration itself.

    The recommended next steps are:

    1. Verify that Attack simulation training is being used in a supported region and country as listed in the documentation.
    2. Replace the “Generative AI” module in the campaign with another available Training module from the Content library that is confirmed to work for the same users.
    3. If the issue persists with multiple modules, open a support case with Microsoft, providing tenant region, affected module name, and user location.
