How to get service or repair for Surface

For a Surface Laptop that is under warranty, service is requested online through the Microsoft device services site. The exact path depends on whether this is a personal or business device.

For a personal (non‑commercial) Surface Laptop:

1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices and sign in with the Microsoft account associated with the device.
2. Select the Surface Laptop that needs service and choose Next.
   • If it does not appear, select Register device and add it first.
3. Follow the on‑screen instructions to create a service order and complete the request.

For a Surface for Business / organization‑owned device:

• Use one of the commercial portals (admin access required):
  • Surface Support Portal: In the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to Support > Microsoft Surface support and select Create service request.
  • Surface Management Portal (Intune): In the Microsoft Intune admin center, go to All services > Surface Management Portal and select Create service request.

If in‑person help is preferred and available in the region, an Authorized Service Provider or service center can be used for inspection and to facilitate repair.
