I signed up for the 12-month free Microsoft 365 Personal (Student) offer on 2/23, but I have still not received any email regarding how to activate the LinkedIn Premium benefit. When will I be able to get the LinkedIn Premium?

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Microsoft and LinkedIn have clarified in a support document that the LinkedIn Premium with Microsoft 365 Premium student trial offer was previously available only to eligible LinkedIn members in certain regions. Under this offer, Microsoft provided a limited number of redemption codes that could be claimed directly through Microsoft. This campaign ended two weeks ago, and no additional codes are being issued.

The LinkedIn Premium activation email for the 12‑month free Microsoft 365 Personal (Student) offer is sent by email and can sometimes be missed depending on which device or mail app is used.

In a very similar case, the student did not see the LinkedIn offer email on a phone mail app (Gmail), but the email was present and visible when checking the same mailbox from a desktop (MacBook) mail client. Once that email was found, the LinkedIn Premium offer could be activated from there.

    Actionable steps:

    1. Sign in to the same email account used to claim the Microsoft 365 Student offer, but do so from a desktop browser or desktop mail app (not just a mobile mail app).
    2. Check Inbox, Promotions/Other, and Junk/Spam folders carefully for any message about a LinkedIn Premium or partner offer associated with Microsoft 365.
    3. Search the mailbox using keywords like LinkedIn, Premium, Microsoft 365, or offer.

If the email is still not found after checking from a desktop client and searching all folders, contact official Microsoft support for the student offer so the account and eligibility can be checked and the benefit re‑sent if applicable.
