Required help for install excel LTSC 2024 & activation

Regarding your issue, may I kindly ask a few questions to help understand it better: 

• Are you using a MAK (Multiple Activation Key) or a KMS (Key Management Service) for activation? 
• Are there any previous versions of Office (e.g., Office 2019, 2021, or Microsoft 365) currently installed on the target machines? 
• Do you require the 64-bit (recommended) or 32-bit version of Excel? 
• Could you provide a screenshot of the issue (make sure to hide personal information) if possible?

To install and activate Excel as part of Office LTSC 2024, Excel must be deployed using Office LTSC 2024 volume licensing tools; Excel alone is not installed separately.

1. Obtain the correct product and key

• Excel LTSC 2024 is included in Office LTSC Professional Plus 2024 and similar volume-licensed suites.
• Ensure access to a valid volume license key:
  • For KMS activation, use the appropriate Generic Volume License Key (GVLK).
  • For MAK activation, use the organization’s MAK key.
• LTSC is sold via volume licensing to organizations; coordinate with the organization’s IT admin for keys and deployment rights.

2. Download the Office Deployment Tool (ODT)
3. Download the Office Deployment Tool from the Microsoft Download Center.
4. Run the downloaded .exe to extract setup.exe and a sample configuration.xml.
5. Create a configuration.xml for Office LTSC 2024 Create or edit a configuration.xml that specifies:

• Product ID for the suite that includes Excel, for example:
  • ProPlus2024Volume (Office LTSC Professional Plus 2024)
• Architecture (32-bit or 64-bit).
• Language(s) to install.
• Activation method via PIDKEY:
  • KMS: enter the GVLK.
  • MAK: enter the MAK key.
• Optional: SourcePath if installing from a local share instead of directly from the Office CDN.

Key configuration options from the context:

• Product ID examples for LTSC 2024 volume products:
  • ProPlus2024Volume
  • Standard2024Volume
  • ProjectPro2024Volume
  • ProjectStd2024Volume
  • VisioPro2024Volume
  • VisioStd2024Volume
• Language ID for languages (for example, en-us).
• PIDKEY for KMS (GVLK) or MAK activation.
• RemoveMSI if older MSI-based Office must be removed before installation.

4. (Optional) Download installation files to a local source If not installing directly from the Office CDN:
5. Open an elevated Command Prompt.
6. Go to the folder containing setup.exe and the configuration.xml.
7. Run:

      setup /download configuration.xml
   

8. Confirm the download completed by checking the SourcePath location for an Office\Data\<version> folder.
9. Install Office LTSC 2024 (including Excel)
10. Open an elevated Command Prompt.
11. Navigate to the folder with setup.exe and the configuration.xml.
12. Run:

        setup /configure configuration.xml
    

13. After the command finishes, Excel LTSC 2024 will be installed as part of the Office LTSC 2024 suite on the system drive.
14. Activate Office LTSC 2024 (and Excel)

• Activation is unchanged from previous LTSC versions and uses volume activation:
  • KMS: Office automatically attempts activation against the organization’s KMS host using the GVLK specified in PIDKEY.
  • MAK: Office activates over the internet using the MAK key specified in PIDKEY.
• Internet connectivity is required for MAK activation but not for KMS activation.
• If activation fails (for example, key already used), contact the organization’s IT admin to verify the key and activation method.

7. Optional: Use Configuration Manager If Microsoft Configuration Manager (current branch) is available:

• Use the Office 365 Client Installation wizard under Software Library → Overview → Office 365 Client Management.
• Select Office LTSC Professional Plus 2024 (which includes Excel) and let the wizard generate the configuration.xml and deploy the suite.
