    Hello Julie Bloom,

Thank you for reporting this new behavior to the Q&A forum. I'm here to help!

From what you described, I understand selecting text in PDFs on your Edge now requires a double click on the selection handles to drag them, instead of a single click as before.

    • First, try disabling PDF‑related flags (such as New PDF Viewer or PDF MIP Display Label) to avoid experimental features, here's how: Go to edge://flags search for PDF, disable any experimental PDF‑related items, then click Reset all.
    • Also, temporarily disable all extensions to check whether any of them are interfering with PDF behavior.
    • Test on another browser and with a different mouse to help narrow down the cause.

Note: Since this behavior is new after a recent update on your device and there’s no official fix yet, the initial suggestions may not always work. However, we can work through this together to identify the best next steps.

Thank you so much for your patience. Please let me know how it goes!

This behavior is new. It didn't work this way until the last update. I could click on the grippers and highlight more text with a single tap.
