I have been sent a shared link to family subscription. My computer is Mac OS 12.7. THe download says my OS is not up to date. How do I install the subscription on my macbook?

Your MacOS is MacOS Monterrey, the latest version of Office cannot be installed on that version of MacOS.

If you are not able to update your MacOS operating system, the last version of Office that will work on MacOS Monterrey is 16.88, that is available on the long table on this link to all the downloadable versions from the Microsoft servers.

Thanks for this. I have installed 16.88. But I cannot link the Family subscription link I received to my account to make it work. What do I need to do, please? I'm being asked to buy a subscription, at the moment.

If you are logging into Office with the same Microsoft account that the family member sent the Office share link to and the Office apps are indicated as not activated, try asking the family member to un-share Office with you, then re-share Office and send you a new share link.
