    Hello Q7 Thamico,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum!

I understand that you are having issue with receiving Microsoft Verification Code Email. I truly understand how you feel. Let me assist you go through this situation.

I suggest you try these steps:

    1. Make sure the email isn’t being filtered
    • Check Inbox, Spam/Junk, Other/Focused, and All Mail.
    • Search for messages from @accountprotection.microsoft.com.
    • Add @accountprotection.microsoft.com to your safe senders / contacts list. Microsoft verification emails are commonly filtered silently.
    1. Stop requesting codes for a while
    • Repeatedly clicking Get code can trigger a temporary security block.
    • When blocked, Microsoft does not send any emails at all, even if everything is correct.
    • Do not retry continuously, or the block can last longer.
    1. Use another verification option if shown
    • On the verification page, select Try another way.
    • Choose a different security email or Authenticator app already linked to the account.
    • If the alternate email is also a Microsoft email (Outlook/Hotmail), open it in private/incognito mode to avoid auto sign‑out issues.
    1. Check whether your account is temporarily restricted

Verification codes may not arrive if Microsoft detects:

    • Unusual sign‑in activity
    • Too many verification attempts
    • High-risk traffic from your region

In these cases, email delivery is deliberately delayed or blocked for security reasons.

    1. Use the Sign‑in Helper if no method works

I hope this will help with your situation. Please feel free to reach back if you have further update or more questions.

    Best Regards,

Follow these steps and checks when the verification code email does not arrive:

    1. Confirm the correct email is being used
      • Verification codes can only be sent to the primary alias or another email that is already added as a way to verify sign-in.
      • Make sure the address shown on the screen matches the account’s primary alias or a registered security email.
    2. Check the correct mailbox and junk folder
      • Open the mailbox of the address shown on the verification screen.
      • Check Inbox and Junk/Spam folders for a message from @accountprotection.microsoft.com.
      • Mark @accountprotection.microsoft.com as a trusted/safe sender so future codes go to the inbox.
    3. Avoid repeated requests
      • Do not click Get code many times in a row. Excessive or repetitive requests to the same email or phone can cause Microsoft to temporarily block sending verification codes.
      • Wait some time before requesting another code.
    4. Check for blocks or unusual activity
      • If Microsoft detects unusual or risky activity, it may temporarily block sending verification codes.
      • In this case, waiting for some time and then trying again is required; the block is automatically lifted after a period.
    5. If using another Microsoft email as the security email
      • If the alternate email ends in @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com, or @msn.com, use private browsing so both accounts can stay signed in:
        1. Open a browser in InPrivate/Incognito mode.
        2. Sign in to the account being closed and start the close-account process until the page asks for a verification code.
        3. Without closing that window, open a new InPrivate/Incognito window.
        4. Sign in to the alternate Microsoft email account and get the verification email from Microsoft account team.
        5. Copy the code and paste it into the first window.
    6. Verify security info and choose another method if possible
      • Go to the Security basics page and select Update info.
      • Check that the security email/phone is correct.
      • If another method (phone, different email, Authenticator) is available, choose that instead.
      • If none of the listed methods are accessible, select I don't have any of these and follow the process to replace security info. Closing the account will only be possible after a working verification method is set.
    7. If still not receiving codes
      • You may have to wait until access to the listed phone/email is possible or until any temporary block is lifted.
      • If sign-in or verification continues to fail, use the Sign-in helper to diagnose issues, or contact Microsoft Support for technical help. Support agents cannot send verification codes or change account details but can guide through troubleshooting.
