Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

The "Too Many Requests” error usually happens if there have been multiple login attempts in a short period of time, and Microsoft temporarily blocks further attempts to protect the account.

The only option for now is to wait for the full 24 to 48 hours for the lockout to clear completely.

Try not to attempt signing in during this time, as doing so will reset the waiting period back to zero. Once the time has fully passed, you should be able to sign in again without needing to reset your password.

If issue persists after 24 hrs:

Before installing, it’s a good idea to uninstall all existing versions of Office to avoid conflicts.

    Here’s how:

    • Open the Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
    • Look for any version of Microsoft Office or Office apps, right-click, then choose Uninstall. Please uninstall all Office apps.
    • Once that’s done, restart your computer just to be safe.

    Then, to reinstall Microsoft Office:

    • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services again.
    • Sign in using the same Microsoft account linked to your license.
    • Find your Microsoft 365 subscription and click the "Install".
    • That will download the installer for the Office apps, just run it and follow the steps.

If anything’s unclear or the "Install" option still doesn’t show, feel free to let me know. I’ll be happy to walk you through it.

I really hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Regards,

    John J.D.

This is the response I am getting when I have entered the correct password configuration: this has been the same message for over 4 days now?

Please come back later to redeem your product key.

The wait time after entering an incorrect Microsoft 365 product key isn’t specified in the provided information. However, the lockout behavior described for product keys focuses on correcting the key rather than a fixed delay.

For the error “The product key isn't valid (INVALID_PRODUCT_KEY or ERR_INVALID_TOKEN)” caused by a mistyped character, the guidance is:

    1. Carefully re-enter the 25-character product key, paying close attention to commonly confused characters (for example, 7 vs Z, B vs 8, G vs 6, O vs 0, Q vs 0, VV vs W).
    2. If the key came in an email from an online purchase, copy and paste the key instead of typing it to avoid further mistakes.
    3. If the error persists even with the correct key, verify that:
      • The key is for the correct Office/Microsoft 365 product being installed.
      • The key has been properly activated by the retailer if it was purchased in a store.

If the system is explicitly saying the key entry is locked or rate-limited, retry later and use copy/paste or very careful typing to avoid another error.
