Hi @Daniel McGuire ,
The 0x8015963D error is related to a server‑side authentication problem with Microsoft Developer accounts.
According to similar cases discussed in the community, here are two workarounds you may try:
Workaround 1: Activate via the Hidden Menu
- Go to
Settings > System > Console info. - Press these 4 buttons simultaneously on your controller:
LB + RB + LT + RT. - A hidden Developer Settings menu will appear. Try clicking the Activate button from there.
Workaround 2: Clear Alternate MAC Address
- Go to
Settings > General > Network settings > Advanced settings. - Select
Alternate MAC address > Clearand restart your console. (Use a wired connection if possible).
Note: If neither of these methods works, you can wait 24-48 hours. Often, this server-side issue resolves itself automatically, and you'll be able to activate your console without needing to do anything else.
If you were able to resolve the issue during troubleshooting, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share your feedback by interacting with the system or leaving a comment.
Thank you.
