Each Praise message can currently be sent to up to 10 people per card, is there a way to customize the max amount of receipents or allow an entire team to receive the same Praise card?

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

The maximum limit of 10 recipients per Praise card is a hard-coded constraint within the Viva Insights/Praise app.

Currently, there are no PowerShell cmdlets or Admin Center configurations available to override, customize, or increase this specific 10-person limit per card. You also cannot mention a Microsoft 365 Group or a Team directly in the "To" field to bypass this.

Usage Workaround for Entire Teams: If your goal is to recognize an entire team without manually sending multiple cards, the best practice is to leverage public Channel Posts. Instead of trying to fill out the "To" field with everyone's name, simply open the Praise extension within the team’s shared channel (e.g., the General channel), leave the "To" field blank (or only tag the Team Leads), and dedicate your written message to the whole team before sending. This way, the entire group will receive the public recognition on their channel feed without violating the 10-person direct recipient limit.

Can you clarify public Channel posts? Does this only work for organization-wide public channels?

To clarify: "Public Channel posts" simply refers to posts made in a Standard Channel (a channel visible to every member of that specific Team), as opposed to a Private Channel. It does not mean you are limited to organization-wide teams. You can use this workaround in any Team (whether the Team itself is Public or Private), provided you post the Praise in a Standard Channel (like the General channel).

Why this distinction matters: The Praise app is currently not supported in Private Channels (those with the padlock icon). However, as long as you use a Standard Channel within your team:

The post is "public" to every member of that team.

Even if you don't tag individuals in the "To" field, the card is visible to the entire team on the channel feed.

This effectively achieves "Team-wide recognition" without needing to bypass the 10-recipient direct mention limit.

This workaround will not for us as we don't have public channels.
