Yandex was most likely set by an extension or by Edge’s search settings. Restore the preferred search engine and prevent it from switching again as follows.

    1. Check if an extension changed the search engine
      1. Select Settings and more () > Extensions.
      2. Look for any search, toolbar, or Yandex-related extensions.
      3. Disable or remove suspicious extensions.
    2. Change the default search engine back
      1. In Edge, perform a search in the address bar using the search engine that should be the default (for example, Bing or another provider).
      2. Select Settings and more () > Settings.
      3. Select Privacy, search, and services.
      4. Select Search and connected services, then Address bar and search.
      5. Open Search engine used in the address bar and choose the preferred search engine.
If the desired engine does not appear:
      1. Go again to Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Search and connected services > Address bar and search.
      2. Because a search was already performed with that provider, it should now appear in the list; select it as default.
    3. If the search engine keeps changing back to Yandex
      1. Re-check extensions and remove any that modify search.
      2. In Extensions > Manage Extensions, disable or uninstall anything that changes the address bar behavior.

After these steps, new address bar searches in Edge should use the chosen provider instead of Yandex.
