How can I put credit on my skype. Until now I´ve lost all my access on skype. It is uncredible that Teams don´t have the way to add credit on phone

    Hello

As AI answer indicated, after Skype retired last May, you could only use whatever remaining via the Skype dial pad, but you cannot top up.

If you want to use calling feature, you need to get the Teams Essential or Microsoft 365 business license, then add the Teams phone with calling plan add-on license. It is not supported on Teams with personal account.

Skype has been retired and new users can no longer purchase Skype Credit or subscriptions. Existing paid users with active Skype Credit or subscriptions can still use their remaining balance via the Skype Dial Pad, but credit purchase is no longer available for new users.

Key points from the current behavior:

    1. Skype retirement and impact on credit
      • Skype retired in May 2025. This affects both free and paid users.
      • If new to Skype, it is not possible to purchase Skype Credit or subscriptions anymore to make or receive calls.
      • Existing calling and Skype Number subscriptions continue to renew only until April 3, 2025.
    2. Using remaining credit and getting the dial pad
      • The Skype Dial Pad is only available if there is an active paid product: active subscription, active Skype Number, or active Skype Credit.
      • To make calls with remaining credit, sign in at the Skype Dial Pad on the web: calling.web.skype.com.
      • If the message “You don't have any paid product right now” appears even though there was credit before, either:
        • The sign‑in is with the wrong Skype/Microsoft account, or
        • The Skype Credit has gone inactive (no use for 180 days).
    3. Reactivating inactive Skype Credit
      • Skype Credit goes inactive after 180 days of no use.
      • To reactivate inactive credit:
        1. Sign in to the reactivation page: https://secure.skype.com/portal/settings/credit/reactivate
        2. Select Reactivate Credit.
      • It can take up to 15 minutes; an email is sent when reactivation completes.
      • Once reactivated and still within the supported period, the Dial Pad becomes visible again in Teams Free and on the web.
    4. Why Teams does not let credit be added
      • Teams Free can surface the Skype Dial Pad only for users who already have an active Skype paid product (subscription, number, or credit).
      • There is no path in Teams Free to buy new Skype Credit; only existing active credit/subscriptions can be used until they expire.
    5. If access or charges look wrong
      • If credit seems missing or there are billing issues (for example, unexpected charges), use the Skype/My Account and billing support paths in the references, or contact Microsoft Support via the official “Contact Skype support” and Microsoft billing support articles.

In summary, new credit cannot be added anymore. If there was previous credit, sign in with the correct account, reactivate it if it has gone inactive, and then use it via the Skype Dial Pad on the web or in Microsoft Teams Free while Skype’s remaining paid functionality is still available.
