My HP printer in my office is offline for a single computer but working for the second computer in the office so I can't print from my computer. How do I fix this, I have already turned both off and on.

    Hi Maria Andrews,

Since the printer is online and working for the second computer, the issue is most likely with the local configuration on the first machine rather than the printer itself.

First, check that the printer is set as the default printer on the affected computer. Sometimes Windows will mark another device as default, which can cause confusion. Next, open the printer properties and confirm that the correct IP address is configured, if the printer was installed manually, a mismatch in IP can cause it to appear offline. It’s also worth removing the printer from the Devices and Printers list and reinstalling it using the same IP address that works on the second computer.

If the issue persists, restart the Print Spooler service on the affected computer. You can do this by opening Services, locating “Print Spooler,” and clicking Restart. This often clears stuck jobs or communication errors. Also, make sure the computer is on the same network segment as the printer and that no firewall rules are blocking communication.

I hope the response provided some helpful insight. If it clarified the issue for you, please consider marking it as Accept Answer so others with the same issue can find the solution.

    Jason.
