Supposedly there is an option to "Save this Message" in the three-dot dropdown on Teams. There isn't. How do you get a message into the "Saved" category?

    Hi @Fred Lee

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. I understand you are expecting to see “Save this message” under the three dot menu on a Teams message, but that option is not showing for you, and you want to know how to get a message into the Saved category.

To help narrow down why it is missing in your environment, could you please share the following information:

    1. Which Teams client are you using when you do not see the option (Windows or Mac desktop app, Teams on the web, or Teams mobile).
    2. Where is the message located (one to one chat, group chat, channel post, or meeting chat).
    3. When you hover over the message, do you see the three dots “More options” menu at all, and if yes, please provide a screenshot of the options in that menu.
    4. Do you see any “Saved” area anywhere in Teams, for example a Saved section at the top of your Chat list after saving messages, or a Saved entry when you click your profile picture (if you have never saved anything before, you may not see a Saved section).
    5. If you sign in to Teams on the web at https://teams.microsoft.com and check the same message, does the “Save this message” option appear there, or is it also missing.

Once I have those details, I can confirm whether this is a client specific issue, a rollout or feature availability difference, or something specific to the message type you are trying to save.

Thank you for your time and patience. I'm looking forward to your response.
