I have filled the form several times but have been unsuccessful using the same device and location.

Can someone contact me and inform how I can reset my account?

I need to speak to someone! How can I call or chat to a support agent.

Thanks.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

May I please know when was the last time you were able to sign in with your Microsoft account successfully?

Because, if you haven't signed in to your account for more than 2 years, your account will be put into an inactive state and will be closed. You cannot even use the 'Account Recovery Form' to unblock your account.

Also, if you have two-step verification turned ON, you cannot use the account recovery form.

If this is not the case and if your Microsoft account recovery request was not granted or was unsuccessful, please click the attached link for more information:

Account recovery for a personal Microsoft/Outlook account can only be completed through the automated recovery and support tools; support agents cannot manually reset the account or bypass security.

Since the recovery form has been unsuccessful so far, follow these steps:

    1. Improve the chances with the recovery form
      • Before trying again, review the official guidance: Help with the Microsoft account recovery form. It explains how to prepare and what kind of information to provide.
      • Use the same device and network you normally use, but add as much specific information as possible (old passwords, folder names, recent subjects/contacts, etc.).
      • You can submit the form up to two times per day if recovery is unsuccessful.
      • Start from the official Account recovery form link in the guidance.
    2. Use the Sign-in Helper if the security info looks wrong
      • If the verification email/phone options shown during reset are not recognized, use the Sign-in Helper tool instead of the standard reset path.
    3. If the account is locked or compromised
      • If the account is locked due to suspicious activity, follow the instructions in the lock message (the link beginning with aka.ms/) and submit the requested information.
      • If the account may be hacked, use the compromised-account helper: select Start under “How to recover a hacked or compromised Microsoft account” to be guided to the right path or to an agent where available.
    4. How to chat or speak with a support agent
      • For consumer Microsoft accounts, agents still cannot directly reset the password or bypass the recovery checks, but they can guide through the process and investigate issues like form errors.
      • Use the official Contact Support flow described in the Q&A guidance:
        • Go to the Microsoft Support contact page.
        • Search for terms like “recover account” or “Account Recovery”.
        • Choose Contact Support.
        • Select the product area such as Microsoft account & billing or Manage Account Security.
        • Choose the option like Chat with a support agent in your web browser or a callback if offered in the region.
      • If no other account is available to sign in for support, create a temporary Outlook.com account (from the Microsoft account sign-in page choose Create one) and use it only to contact support.
    5. After a successful recovery
      • Once access is restored, follow the security guidance in How to help keep your Microsoft account safe and secure to add more recovery options and make future resets easier.

If the form continues to fail, keep trying with improved details (up to two attempts per day) and use the support contact options above to get live assistance with the process itself.
